Norm's - Costa Mesa

The food and service at this special place is excellent. I met a friend for breakfast and ordered the New York steak and eggs. When my server came to us, he asked how everything was. I told him I wasn't happy with my steak because it was very grisly. He apologized and ordered another steak for me. I was very impressed by his quick actions and results were great! The second steak was great! This facility is still worth customers and wants to satisfy them. I recommend these standards and my server went beyond and beyond my expectations. My order was prepared as I asked and I was happy when I was finished.

While our party of 9 had a great waitress (she is the reason why I consider this as a 3 star experience). After serving and confirming a vegetarian meal, an employee became liquid (not the waitress). He told us it was vegetarian food without meat after it was taken away to check, but it actually had meat. We are not sure how this was checked as it was a burrito and seemed untouched. On arrival and departure we were there for 2 hours. 30 minutes are waiting to be seated, as we see smaller parties sitting immediately. They sat on 2 stands, which was good, but we saw parties from 4 and 5 serving and leaving much faster. I saw this as a management mistake. Our waitress has done a good job under the circumstances. Because of my own experience, I cannot say that I was satisfied with the quality of food. But overall, if you are looking in a small party to enjoy a diner experience and do not need food substitutes you will be good. I thought it would be helpful to post so larger parties could know what they could go into.

Simple and good American food. Fast and good portions. (As Scandinavia, I still think the shares are oversized) Today we tried the bacon burger and also a breakfast with haash brown and pancakes. Everything tastes good. Extra plus on the french fries because they were crispy and very fresh. Try their lemonades, they're really good. Service is good and you feel welcome. A few minus... The restaurant does not feel clean and fresh, and could need a good shrub and a lot of wear on the seats. All a nice place for a great breakfast or a simpler dinner.

2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausage 2 pancakes. Coffee Breakfast special $7.99. sat at the counter. Really good service. I have also ordered a side of toast, but it was not really roasted that it warmed up bread) must be roasted more.

Haven 't been to a Norms in over 40 yrs, but was pleasantly surprised by this location. We went to grab lunch before I had to catch a flight. Food was good, but nothing to 'wow ' about. Portions were generous for the price. Really enjoyed the 70s/80s music brought back memories. Bathroom overall restaurant appeared clean. Wasn 't crowded when we were there. Food service could have been faster, but our server was a nice guy. I would have no hesitation returning for another meal.
