Fireside Tavern - Costa Mesa

This is a hidden gem! It may be in the Crowne Plaza Hotel but it can stand on its own. The food was very good. My husband and I had entree salads and they were very tasty. My daughter had a burger. The french fries were delicious. We would come back again.

Food was not good, mac n cheese was from a box with bacon put on top of it. Very bland burger and sandwiches. Also listing did not tell us it was in a hotel.

Great staff and service. Food very good and very fresh.

It was very nice. They were slightly understaffed for Valentine’s Day so slightly longer service times but the food was great

I totally missed the fact that this restaurant was in a Crowne Plaza when I made a pre-theater reservation for our group of five. When we finally found it, I was disappointed--zero ambiance--no tavern or fireside feel whatsoever. However, the food was exceptional. Probably the best burger I 've ever had. Seriously. And I 've been eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants ...but haven 't ordered a burger at one, admittedly). If you want a quick, casual, delicious meal, I have to say this basic place is a good bet.
