Feng Cha Teahouse Costa Mesa

The atmosphere and service at this restaurant were fantastic! It was my first time in a tea shop, and I will definitely be returning soon. The staff were friendly and patient as I asked many questions. I ordered the Taro tea with 25% sweetness and milk, without any toppings. My daughter ordered a black tea with 50% sweetness, and added boba with milk. Everything was delicious!

This was my second visit to the restaurant, the first being at 9 o'clock on a Saturday night. I had heard great things about their fluffy pancakes and wanted to try them out. I plan to bring my friend and family there on another occasion. The parking lot is small and crowded, making it difficult to find a spot. We ordered a few drinks, including the oreo cheese milk tea and matcha breeze. Both drinks were delicious, and they even offered to split one drink into two for my children. However, I was a bit disappointed with the fluffy pancakes as they were not as fluffy and soft as I had hoped. I also tried the strawberry princess cake, which was topped with cheese milk foam and fresh strawberries. While the strawberry puree was okay, I'm not a fan of purees. I also tried the matcha love cake, which was covered in rich matcha foam, matcha pocky sticks, and dusted with matcha powder.

We enjoyed their drinks when we first tried them a few weeks ago, which is why we are giving them two stars. However, their questionable business practices to make extra money are disappointing and deserve zero stars. They frequently claim to be "out of the small size cup" and when we ask if they can use a smaller amount in a larger cup instead, the staff becomes uncooperative and annoying. It is not our fault that they are trying to manipulate us into spending more by claiming they are out of small cups. Not everyone is willing to pay extra for a few ounces of sugar and milk. If they want to only sell larger sizes, they should clearly advertise that instead of misleading customers. It is rude and unprofessional how poorly the staff treat customers, especially considering we have tried to be loyal and visit often. It's a shame because their drinks are good, but if you want a pleasant experience, it's best to go elsewhere. Try Sunright Teahouse for delicious drinks without the hassle!

Feeling bubbly at Feng Cha’s cute location in Costa Mesa~I tried both the coffee milk tea 5.00) dirty caffe latte 5.25). They were both very similar in taste, but the coffee milk tea was a bit sweeter, which I preferred. The dirty caffe latte has brown sugar, so I thought it would be sweeter, but it was actually slightly more bitter. They also have vietnamese coffee cold brew coffee as part of their new coffee series.The matcha breeze 5.75) is a blended drink with a rich matcha flavor. The cheese milk foam adds sweetness, but the overall drink is not very sweet at all. I would probably get this again in the summertime!The creme brulee dirty boba 6.15) is one of their popular drinks and it was my favorite one! This one comes with brown sugar boba and a crispy creme brulee layer at the top. I loved the creaminess of the drink as well as the brown sugar flavor. It was also the perfect sweetness for me probably the sweetest one of all the drinks that I got.Feng Cha also has 6 different kinds of cakes 7.00). The cake itself is not flavored and is the same for all, but they have different toppings, like tiramisu, oreo, strawberry, taro chocolate, sea salt pearl, or matcha. I don’t think I was a fan of the sea salt topping, but the boba was really good. I enjoyed the matcha cake more for its subtle matcha flavor.They have multiple locations in CA other states. In SoCal, they can be found in OC or San Diego. The OC location has a free parking lot shared with other stores in the plaza.

I LOVE the plain Jasmine Green Tea with Cheese Foam. I have ordered this 3 days in a row. The cheese foam is the most delicious of all the boba stores in So Cal. I get so excited driving here to get my fix. Parking lot is small but where there’s a will there’s a way!! They also have the best people working here and always do an amazing job at getting your drinks out fast and correcting it if needed. Also the Black Tea is my second choice with Cheese Foam. Also their boba is warm and delicious and fresh each time I’ve ordered it!
