Although this restaurant was set up back a few years, it was not much attention compared to its sister business in Newport Beach. However, the NB site was forced to close after an accounting problem, so BBD in Costa Mesa has again served lunch and dinner hours with the menu for which they feed themselves again (sandwiches, subs, salads and beer again. Although customer service has been suspected in the past, my last visits were very good. The only thing that keeps it back is that the pizzas aren't so great for the cost. Otherwise I recommend going here.
This restaurant is now Westend, your new destination for good food, good music, good times! The vibe is very cool and hip, some of the same items from the Big Belly Deli but some new items with a spin, Vegan and Carnivore options. Recently the staff opened adjustment, so it was busy and service was slow when I was there, but there is great potential!
Big Belly Deli is a great hole in the wall sandwich spot. The prices are fair and the service here is excellent. There is much to choose on their menu for everyone. Great place to make a stop on the way to the beach!
We get pizza here, maybe once a week. It is the best bang for your dollar pizza in Costa Mesa. It is consistently good and fast. The chicken tastes like its cut from a real fresh chicken breast, not frozen scrap. Makes sense, as this is mainly a sandwich shop. You also have beer on tap and a BLT, the upper notch. There is also a location on PCH in Newport that we use to go when we live near the beach. It can be super busy there, so plan accordingly.
Step inside this throwback location and find some of the best sandwiches OC has to offer, John and his crew treat you like family and guide you to the right choice, but trust me, The #15 is the best! Great spot to sit and drink beer while you watch football too
