Smokin' Johnny V's - Corunna

The meat platter was really worth the money. The beef brisket, the ribs and the bacon was incredible! And the service was very prompt and effecient.????????????????

This place is the go to place for ribs. Great service, good food and atmosphere. The wait staff is attentive, coming back numerous times to make sure everything is ok. Not our first visit, and definitely won't be our last.

We visited the restaurant on my birthday, 3 22 2019. I had the picnic carnivore and my guest had a burger. The burger looked great but the $18.00 meal that I had was a huge disappointment. The 3 small cast iron dishes had very little meat in each dish this is their specialty, BBQ pork but yet they serve it in very small portions! Pork is overall inexpensive so I'm not sure why so little is served for the price. One of the 3 dishes was an overcooked brat sausage. In my opinion, a brat can be had anywhere; it wasn't special. I had our waitress re heat two of the meat dishes because they were warm, not hot. It was Friday and it was busy but you also have to have a waitress that hustles and is engaged; we didn't experience that.

We happened on this place on our way back from Ovid. Checked yelp for a place to eat. We do glad we did. Firstly I could smell the smoke drom the parking lot (a good sign to start). The interior was cool and stylish. We ordered the nacho (free appetizer for checking in on Yelp). Great appetizer! I got the smoked Reuben sandwich with homemade chips. My GF got a bowl of the gumbo, burnt rib tips and app size Mac and cheese. The food was Amazing, and the staff could not have been more friendly. It's about an hours' drive from our house, but I'll gladly drive there again. You should get here to Johnny V's!!

My friend kept telling about this place from quiet sometime and today finally checked it out on our way to Birch Run premium outlet for shopping. They open at 12PM on weekends hence we and couple of other customers have to wait few mins as we reached a bit early.The best part of waiting outside gives us chance to smell the bbq which is amazing. Quite surprised by the ambience as I was not expecting it to be upscale.They were only few customers hence got the liberty to chose our table.Got Appetizer Jalapeno Fritters with Strawberry Butter for yelp check In. Then ordered Meat Sampler candied Bacon,ribs,shredded chicken , Pork , Brisket and Brat)that came with 2 sides Mac Cheese, French Fries) and Corn Bread. I requested for bun and they give provide a fresh smoked one. Love their Sauces.
