Rival's Taphouse Grill - Corunna

The new owner has unfortunately spoiled the restaurant. They've completely revamped the menu, offering subpar food at double the prices. It's a real disappointment.

We've visited this restaurant for work gatherings, after-work meetups with friends, and just for ourselves about 4-5 times a year over several years. The service has always been good to great. However, tonight was our work party, and somehow, our reservation wasn't recorded. The server handled the situation well; she was friendly and accommodating once we were seated. The food came out quickly, which we appreciated. However, while the portion sizes were average for the price, the quality of the food was noticeably lacking. I'm not sure what changes the new management has implemented, but it seems that prices have increased while quality has decreased. We used to really enjoy this place, but as a group, we've decided to explore other options next time in hopes of finding a new favorite. I really wish one of the managers had come to inquire about our experience. The service was excellent, and the place was clean, but the recent changes haven't improved the overall experience. In the past, I would have rated this place between 4 and 5 stars, as you can tell from my previous reviews.

What a fantastic restaurant! My friends and I visit almost every Monday, and we always look forward to having Willy as our server—he is an exceptional professional! However, everyone else has been great too! We have enjoyed everything on the menu, and there are different specials all the time. The prices are very reasonable! I highly recommend checking out Rival's—definitely ask for Willy! 10/10!

We are in town for a horse show and decided to go out. We decided to go here and wow...all 8 of us were so impressed with our service and food! So good!!!

Since the new management had taken over a number of changes were made and not all were for the better. They changed their really good crispy fries into something that tastes like they dusted them with lays barbecue chips. Their chicken tenders have also become lack luster and their menu matches that. us they have whole new staff that would rather talk at the end of the bar rather than bring drinks that were ordered 15 minutes ago.....and no one else is dining in.
