Corrour Station House

Came here by train to go for a hike around the Loch. Wonderful sandwiches to go, and the sweet treats are delicious too. Everything is reasonably priced, even though they’re the only spot in the vicinity.

We didn 't spend the night, but were booked in for an early dinner after walking up on the 'road to the isles ' from Rannoch Station. We arrived just as both the weather and the midges started to close in, so we decided not to explore the area further and spent the remainder of the afternoon in the Station House, enjoying tea and cake then a pre dinner drink before our meal. There was a selection of books and games, and the place was busy all afternoon, then full at dinnertime definitely book if you plan to eat on a Saturday in summer! The food was delicious, we shared a great charcuterie board, then both had the venison stew, which was perfect comfort food. It 's worth noting that there are goods for sale, from souvenirs to useful camping equipment, including midge nets. Even for the two minutes we stood on the platform waiting for the train a midge net was pretty much essential. A really relaxed atmosphere with great food in a beautiful setting, fantastic all round.

He is here after a polite cycling from inverness. really friendly staff and great little atmosphere in the bar. amazing far away.

Excellent food, good beer, great welcome, super staff. And the location isn't half bad either.

Brilliant wee place, warm and comforting in the middle of nowhere. Staff were great, had a smile and some chat, and knew exactly what they were doing.
