Koi Sushi Hibachi - Corpus Christi

Another Texas style sushi restaurant (we didn't try the hibachi. We ordered a fusion salad and it was never delivered. We got some nigiri and rolls. Frustrated as I asked if the Spanish mackerel was really aji and was told yes. However, it was definitely not aji but saba (mackerel and even the bill called it out as saba. We asked for a negihama roll and received a yellowtail roll without the green onion nor any of it chopped. A fairly standard traditional roll. No fatty tuna available. The rest was average sushi. Not a place I would return to.

Ordered beer that came out very flat and not too cold. Hibachi was closed over an hour before closing time. I order sushi that came very warm and did not taste fresh. Would not recommend dining hereFood: 1/5

The Hibachi was amazing. I got the chicken and the steak they cooked it in teriyaki, and it came out incredible. The vegetables were amazing as well. The cook was very friendly. The rice was great as well

We dined on the hibachi side and ordered a sushi roll. Sushi was very fresh and delicious. The chef was friendly and did a fantastic job! Our waiter was also fantastic. He was the only one working the hibachi side but he showed up just as i needed him every time. Would definitely dine there again.Food: 5/5

The service here is incredible. The servers are personable and professional. Lauren was super diligent about refilling our drinks, asking if we needed anything else made thoughtful recommendations when we asked. She was super pleasant! The chefs greeted us and all of their regulars when they/we walked in, which felt very inviting and genuine. The food is exceptional. Their spicy edamame was the best I've had, my fiancé agreed. The sushi was incredible consistent and their prices are really fair. The chefs and various wait staff all said goodbye to us and thanked us for coming. Their service really stood out to us, especially in comparison to other restaurants we've been to here. We'll definitely be back! This will be a regular spot for us. This place is very exceptional!Thank you for hosting a lovely date for us!
