Corowa Rsl Club

We found their food nice but a bit expensive especially buffet on Friday/Saturday nights. They have a good TAB and good live coverage of AFL football. Pokies sometimes good and sometimes bad!!!

I love seafood and was bought up in a fishing village, so know what is fresh and how good it tastes. I was not disappointed with the seafood buffet. The oysters were perfect and the prawns sweet and very fresh. I can see that this will be a regular place to visit for me.

This RSL is ahead of most clubs for great food and great staff . The Wednesday steak night is very good with great steaks and complimented by a wine list offering Rutherglen reds at good prices .the bars and eating areas are bright and pleasant . he sports bar is well set up for those who like a punt and drink and the staff are happy and fun . The cafe area serves great light food and very good coffee! This club is a credit to the management who have trained staff to be in tune with the hospitality industry . It would be fantastic if the club had a nearby motel and it would open more business for functions and weddings and small conferences etc .

The first visit comprised of wrong bar prices and the worst pork belly i have ever had. Over cooked to the point the sauce tasted spoonfuls of soy sauce.The next week we tried again. False advertising on boards. A big seven bone rack of lamb. I recieved a 3 bone. When i pointed it out to the chef i was sneered at. If you finish your meal at an RSL and then have room to start eatting your kids chips, you're at the wrong RSL.

Buffet overpriced and confusing. Opted for bistro. Have you ever taken a meal back (not with any joy) and been told by chef " yeah we were expecting this to come back"? Well this was so with my mothers roast. For those foodies out there or trivia buffs, the word lasagne comes from the Italian word for chamber pot. Because back in the day...let's say Italians had only one dish in their house. Well my lasagne seemed more like the overnight contents of said pot. I did not report my own meal, but the lamb I phoned the big boss of the club. He was all ears and said he would get back to me. 6 months and still waiting. But you do have to have respect for those managers who do bother to respond on this application. In short don't eat at Corowa RSL. (Ps I'm trying to put zero out of five but I think I need to put one)
