My bf and I came here on our break the first time and fell iUnfortunately this gem is only open on the weekends

Really love the food here. The service is always really great and the people are so kind. Last time I went. I ordered veggie plate with cornbread greens, yams, and red beans and rice. Everything was on point delicious they didn't be stingy on the proportions and the flavor was just like grandma made it in the kitchen.

Hello Owner of Sunday Dinners, I have been craving soul food. So I Googled 'Soul Food Places ' I have read quite a few reviews. I believe that I have to try it myself before I decide it isn 't good. I grew up in Compton and there were many soul food restaurants. All were good... I will definitely have to come and try the food at your restaurant. Iam craving smothered pork chops, greens, corn bread, mac cheese yams. Everyone will definitely have there own opinions, but I want to give it a try and decide for myself not by what others are saying....hope to see you soon! Yuck, I sure hope we don 't get sick. Where do I begin? While I love to patronize my peeps, after finally catching the establishment open it could 've stayed closed. They actually sell koolaid while the cashier later sat in the room with us eating Popeye 's. My hubby got the catfish lunch with featured one, yes one piece of fish that was not fully cooked. I got the meatloaf which was decent, but the greens ugh. Gnats landed on our table while we were eating. The floor was sticky and the tables were dirty. This is just a nasty place and we will not be returning. It 's sad that cleanliness and customer service is non-existent. Instead of the owner taking feedback to improve her business, she responds with a smart and lame excuse. Word of advice “ don’t bother patronizing the know it all queen.”

This was our first time here. The service was professional the food was great. The mac n cheese was bomb as was the cabbage. The only issue was the dining room looked like an after thought it needed to be sweaped and better seating.Food: 5/5
