Woottons Country

This was our first time to the pub/restaurant. We were met with a warm welcome by all members of staff. The food was lovely. My partner had the pork belly and I had hake. The presentation of the food was also great. I’m gluten free and found plenty to choose from. The fires were on which was a bonus for a particular wet weekend and the atmosphere was very friendly. Dogs are also allowed.

Beware of the Greek salad. It is 80% olives and feta cheese but very little salad. When you complain we were told tough! We ordered it. Totally no empathy. Not to be recommended Will not be going there again!!!

I recently discovered this gem of a restaurant. It is conveniently located just steps away from the entrance to Tintagel Castle and is also near several other dining options. The free parking was a wonderful perk, which can be hard to find in the UK. Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a wardrobe, desk, kettle, and plenty of power outlets. The breakfast offered a variety of choices and was quite filling. The only downside was the double bed, which felt a bit small. Nevertheless, I had a very enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

A group of eight of us made a reservation for 6:30 at this restaurant with lovely surroundings. The meals were served hot, but unfortunately, the three orders of hunter's chicken were absolutely terrible. When a waitress asked us about our meal, we explained how awful it was and she promised to send a manager to speak with us. However, after waiting for over 45 minutes, no one came to address our concerns. The meals were dry and rubbery, with barely cooked bacon. As tourists in Tintagel, it seems clear that the pub doesn't expect us to return. We advise against visiting this restaurant as the meals were tasteless, except for the soup of the day which our niece and nephew enjoyed and said was amazing.

Although I did not stay at the hotel, I visited the restaurant three nights in a row. The pizza was fantastic, and my partner really enjoyed the burger. The staff were lovely each evening, and we were even given a discount on our third visit as returning customers. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.
