A fantastic, warm and friendly pub with great food. The landlord Barry is always welcoming and chats to his customers, the staff are helpful and polite. Booking at table is essential. Would definitely go back.

A friendly pub where the landlord and customers chat to you which is welcoming when you are on your own.The meals I had there were all really good and reasonably priced and will return this year at some point.

We received a lovely warm welcome at this restaurant. The staff was extremely polite and the food was delicious. The portions were very generous for a great price. We ordered the Game and Mushroom Pie and a delightful Sticky Toffee Pudding. Thank you, we will definitely be returning. Kirsten and Jeremy.

This is undoubtedly the top pub/restaurant in Cornwall. The food is excellent traditional pub fare and reasonably priced. The pub is very welcoming and a fantastic spot for both dining and just grabbing a drink. It maintains its original charm and character, unlike many modernized pubs. Well-behaved dogs on leads are allowed, which is a nice touch. The credit for this wonderful establishment goes to the exceptional landlord, Barry, who has managed the pub for years and still takes the time to ensure everything is perfect for guests. It's so great that I almost hesitate to recommend it in fear of it becoming too popular and changing. Booking in advance, especially for Sunday lunch, is highly recommended.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the fish and chips takeaway with peas was well presented and packed for easy transportation. Thank you.
