The Old Mill House

What a fantastic meal! This restaurant is a must-visit if you are in the area. I started with the monkfish scampi and had hake as my main course. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and the sauces were outstanding. The hake was the best I have ever had! The only downside was a loud American man at another table who seemed to love the sound of his own voice. Apart from that, the atmosphere was good and the music was great. My compliments to the chef and waitress (who I believe are the owners) on their upcoming wedding. I hope someone will prepare a meal as delicious for you on your special day as the one I had tonight!

We had a fantastic time at The Old Mill. We stayed for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The room was incredibly clean and cozy. The breakfast was scrumptious with a wide variety of choices. We also dined at the Old Mill Bistro one evening and the food was top-notch! It was a fantastic getaway with welcoming hosts.

For a long time, we have been passing by or taking the bus to Padstow and always thought we should try out the Old Mill House because it looked so inviting from the outside. Yesterday, we finally made a reservation and visited the restaurant. As we made our way through the building, we were impressed by the history and character of the place. We were seated at our table, and I had a lovely view of the waterwheel. The scallops we had for starters were absolutely delicious. For our main course, we enjoyed roast beef and roast pork with crackling, roasted potatoes, two types of cabbage, roasted parsnips, carrot purée, and delicious gravy. I mustn't forget to mention the cauliflower cheese, which was the best I've ever had. We paired our meal with wine by the glass and bottled beer. The service was top-notch and attentive. This restaurant is a must-visit. I highly recommend it. The local bus service from Wadebridge almost takes you to the door, and they also have parking available. I can't wait to return.

An incredible evening at the Old Mill. This place is a hidden gem that far too modestly whispers class and a high quality dining experience. We had oysters followed by the Cotè de Beouf. Both were perfection. Thank you Adam and the team! We will definitely be back!

Will not disappoint… So tasty, gorgeous atmosphere, lovely outstanding Staff. The Sunday Roast is simply the best in the area, the ambience of this lovely place is just lovely, always book as limited tables. Maybe a little bit more expensive than others around Padstow but…. Delicious
