The cafe was not busy when we visited, but the staff seemed disorganized. There were mistakes with our orders, items were left off, and they were unsure about the beer selection. Some of us ordered the chicken burger for £13, while my son had the kids version for £8.50, which surprisingly came with chips. I was surprised to see that both burgers were served with the same portion size – a small bun, half a chicken fillet, and a piece of lettuce, definitely not worth £13. The staff acknowledged the mistake but still served it and expected us to pay without any adjustments. The pizzas were mediocre, and we were surprised to see an extra charge of £3 for just 2-3 slices of olives. We have dined at many restaurants along the coast, and based on this experience, we will not be returning to this place.
We had a great experience at the Sea Side restaurant. We enjoyed the pool one day and had a lovely cream tea the next. The portions were generous both times and the service was excellent.
We held our football dinner and dance at Seaside in May and it was the perfect venue for a hot spring evening. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks outside before moving indoors for the main event. Agostino and Ellie were very accommodating and the food provided was excellent for the price. The only downside was the steep price of £4.50 for a bottle of beer, but overall, the experience was great. We would definitely consider returning for food in the future as locals.
We 've eaten here twice now and both times the service was shockingly bad. The staff are friendly and polite, the food is good (if on the expensive side). However, there is a massive disconnect between the polite, friendly staff and the good food. It was 5:30pm. We sat down outside and waited 20 minutes before anyone took our drinks order. Ended up getting our own menus. Someone walked past, so ordered drinks with food as well. 4 members of serving staff and 4 tables busy inside with 5/6 tables having drinks or food outside. We literally had to ambush someone bringing other drinks out to get our order, despite waving at staff looking out of the door. How can it have such an opportunity of a great location and staff being welcoming, but organised so badly. Not to mention the bill. Both times was wrong. Random drinks and ice cream added to the bill. CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING! I notice that the orders weren 't taken on traditional table numbers, so the staff struggled to find the right people for the orders. Such simple things and yet there is no management sorting this out, or organising the service/staff. Seems like great staff and chefs, but couldn 't organise a p!ss up in a brewery springs to mind.
The bar/ restaurant is in the grounds of St Moritz hotel but is open to public to use we stopped for a drink and the views are stunning whether you sit inside or out. Very friendly and helpful staff.
