Ruby Chinese Restaurant - Cornwall

The new Ruby restaurant is definitely amazingIt is the best Chinese Restaurant I've ever been to since I came to Canada.

Even though the restaurant was rather cold I enjoyed the seafood and sushi Staff was very pleasant and attentive.

We stopped by because the place did not look busy after a busy day at our convention.Well what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant has changed hands since the last time we were there. Firstly the place was spotless. old and dated yes. but I don't care about that when the bathrooms are spotless. Then Karen the waitress explained that the food was fresh and homemade. right down to the plum sauce! AND IT WAS! The veggies were crispy and fresh and the service was amazing. so much so, that we ate there a couple of nights later again and brought along another 5 people! One of our guests is Asian and was VERY pleased with her meal. They could have used an extra waitress when they got so busy. Ask about the beautiful Chinese opera singer in the large photographs near the bar. The only alcohol offered at this restaurant is a limited supply of beer, but the oolong tea was lovely.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch and while the service was fantastic the food wasn't. Portions are ok, but the food itself is below par...lots of breading and thick sauce. Shame as I think the couple who own the restaurant are really trying their best.

I just check out this brand new restaurant when i pass by. The Chinese food is tasty. Excellent customer service. I like the Dry Pot Chicken and the Ginger Beef
