The food was exceptional. We shared a delicious pork shank (which was so generous we couldn’t finish it), a fresh and crisp salad, and a stuffed portobello mushroom appetizer. Everything was absolutely delightful. The restaurant specializes in German cuisine but also offers a burger for those looking to switch things up. Plus, they serve Spaten beers, which are among the best in the world. The chef and owner personally came to our table to greet us and ensure we were satisfied. He was a genuinely nice man with remarkable culinary talent. If you want to skip the loud, crowded, and mediocre food options in Cottonwood, take a quick 10-minute drive to Cornville; you’ll be very glad you did.

Every dish our group ordered was of high quality and cooked to perfection. It was charming that the restaurant maintained the tradition of offering 'soup or salad,' adding a nice touch to the evening. Another delightful aspect was when Randy, the chef and owner, made his rounds to chat with guests about the food and engage in light conversation. However, the service wasn't quite up to European standards. The servers, particularly the younger ones, could benefit from further training. To elevate the experience, incorporating elements of 'silver service' might be worth considering. Effective communication is essential, as relying on hand gestures and simply piling plates on the table isn't ideal. That said, all staff members were friendly and aware of their roles, so the quality of service didn't detract from our wonderful evening. I recommend confirming any reservations verbally, as the venue is rightfully popular, especially on prime rib nights.

This restaurant is fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed our experience. It was our first visit, and we definitely plan to return. As a gluten-free dining couple, we often find it challenging to eat out, but the chef here was very accommodating and offered more options than we’ve encountered at most places. The food was absolutely scrumptious, and we especially loved the pumpkin soup!

Every time we visit this restaurant, it's a wonderful experience. The food and service are exceptional, and the entire staff is outstanding. A special thanks to Colleen for her fantastic service, and to Roxanne (I believe that's her name) for her great assistance as well. I also want to shout out to the busser who was incredibly attentive from the moment we walked in. And thank you to the chef for the exquisite frog legs and prime rib. I always enjoy my time here and have never been disappointed!

This is the spot you've been looking for—where locals come together to enjoy a meal. Susan, the owner and a wonderful yankee transplant, is a delight to be around. We were seated in a great booth and had an even better waiter, Kate. The pumpkin soup was delicious, and the wiener schnitzel was perfectly cooked and generous in portion. The pork shoulder was enormous and packed with flavor. The desserts also looked amazing!
