They also have doughnuts and pastries that are excellent. You order at the counter and then have a seat to wait for someone to bring your food, I never had a bad meal. If I missed breakfast at the hotel I would head for Lynch’s. The place was always full of locals which I took as a good sign. The number one rule for a tourist when selecting a restaurant – eat where the locals eat. It is a small family-owned business so there is limited seating, but I never had a problem finding a place to sit. There were a couple of times I had to wait for a table, but it was a short wait. It is located right off the square so there is parking but spaces are hard to come by because of the number of shops in the area.
Visiting Ireland from Portland a few years back and had a full Irish breakfast it was fantastic the people were great the town was lovely I will return thank you
I visited on a saturday around 3pm. there was a steady flow of people and enough staff to handle it yet... queues, long waits lots of faffing. I ordered tea and a ham roll... as this is a bakery you would expect a fresh crunchy roll... what i got was a disgrace tbh... the tea was forgotten, the 'ham roll ' turned out to be a semi toasted brown roll (like 2mins in a george foreman type grill not a toasty per se) that tasted like it was a cover up to the use of yesterdays bread, the filling was a meagre slice of ham.!!!! We were starved so just accepted it for what it was, a bad call. At the till, there was an add on to the basic charge so on principle I queried it, citing that it tasted stale, that it was toasted (this was not stated on menu) and had one filling so why the add on?? . The response was that all rolls are toasted and the price depends on the filling!! In my view if you are a bakery WHY do you need to toast your rolls!!!, how can 1 filling cause an add on... what so stale rolls are 4e are they?? ! no doubt they have nice traditional breads but this was ridiculous I would have been better off buying a packet of ham and a roll in a shop . I hate writing this but this was just the PITS. My bf got a toastie and that was fair poor also. Ham rolls in a bakery... no brainer surely
Disgraceful abuse from staff discriminating people who cant wear masks, **** food, there bread is nice but the owners are vile
Absolutely recommend this place for the tastiest cakes you will ever get. Also the bread is tasty beyond description. Will be back for plenty more. My father describes these as the cakes from his childhood
