Newby's - Cordova

I enjoy coming in here, but Make sure to take your receipt and check the charge on your card… Whoever finalized my bill decided to give themselves a higher tip then what I had written down (which I did tip reasonably). It was almost double. Seems to be a problem in Memphis.

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. They got my drink order wrong twice, and then tried to charge me for the incorrect drinks in addition to the replacements. When I calmly pointed out the mistake, I was verbally abused and asked to leave the bar. I was relieved that I did not have to pay for the drinks or it would have ruined my night. I suggest avoiding this restaurant at all costs, as there are many other welcoming bars in Memphis. The ceiling is leaking, the bathrooms are dirty, and it is clear that the owners do not have respect for their establishment.

At the first visit I loved the atmosphere. the live band was great and our waitress elana was great. the wings were 10 out of 10. this will definitely be one of my visits on the highland strip. update: the third time here. came to treat me and the bartender, he was brilliant, friendly and attentive. I have my usual wings and they have not disappointed. the drinks were UH-Mazing! I will come back here definitiw!

I decided to visit this restaurant on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was the perfect place for me. The waiter was cheerful and amusing, and I could tell that he made my drink with care and attention. I watched him craft my drinks with skill, and they were promptly brought to my table.

Cool little place for a drink. I passed the Vibe check. exactly what I needed to be new in the city.
