The main courses of turkey with all the trimmings, salmon with hollandaise sauce, and mushroom Wellington were all very tasty. The mushroom Wellington was particularly outstanding. For dessert, we enjoyed a delicious fruit trifle. Although we didn't get to see the label, the red wine was excellent. The service was provided by students, with the young waitress engaging in polite conversation while the young men seemed shy and lacking in social skills. It may be beneficial for them to practice more. The teachers were excellent. The portion sizes were very large, which was the only real issue. Despite this, we will definitely be returning because the food was good, the surroundings were excellent, and we hope to see improvement in the social skills of the young male students.
The Manor House restaurant is a training restaurant for Tresham students. The menus and dinners are impeccable, there is always a variety of things to choose from. There are a large number of themed nights throughout the year, I have been to the restaurant several times and have always enjoyed the dinner. The students are very friendly and professional, it is a great restaurant that provides students with authentic and valuable work experience.
Excellent food, good portion size and very reasonable price. Students need to work a bit harder on service. Group of twelve of us and twelve delighted customers!
The kitchen at Manor restaurant is run by second and third year students from Thresham College. Twelve of us visited tonight and each of us was impressed by the high quality of the food, taste, and presentation, especially since we didn't know what to expect as the college has not had a menu before. For a fixed price of £20, you have the option of three starters, three main courses, and three desserts. Honestly, I would have been happy with any of the options but we chose the cherry tomato, quail eggs, and bacon salad served with shaved parmesan followed by the chicken ballotine and finished with a trio of crème brûlée. The only thing missing for me was a decent cup of coffee to finish... Perhaps a suggestion to add this to the fixed menu? I understand that the Manor restaurant will be closing for the summer soon so I won't be able to return until September. I am already looking forward to coming back.
We had not been for years. The food was excellent. The piper brilliant. A very enjoyable evening. Well done Tresham College. We will be back.
