Food and service were absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended to anyone in the mood for delicious food and friendly staff! The “Crazy” Mexican Pizza appetizer is a MUST! Social distance dinning was a nice touch too! Thanks again! :
We love El Paso in Coral Springs. We have been going here for years and our entire family loves it. The owners are wonderful and I highly recommend it. They now have a new restaurant in Dania. Looking forward to eating there as well.
While most of the customers during our visit were non-Hispanic, El Paso does not shy away from its offerings, serving horchata and various flavors of Jarritos Mexican soda. This is where El Paso sits on the fine line between Mexican-American and authentic Mexican cuisine. As a fan of horchata, I was pleased to see it on the menu. My friend opted for café con leche. Since she prefers pork over beef, she was delighted to find pork fajitas on the menu, which she enjoyed. If you love fajitas, you'll have plenty of options here. Wanting a lighter meal to take home, I ordered a combination plate that included a crispy taco, a tostada, an enchilada, along with rice and beans. Everything was well-prepared and not overly salty; I personally avoid adding salt to my food, so I’m sensitive to it. The salad in both the taco and tostada was very fresh. The food was flavorful and the presentation was what you would expect from a good restaurant—nothing overly fancy, but certainly appealing. As usual, I ordered a side of jalapeños, which were nicely crisp without being overwhelmingly hot. My predictable 10-year-old son stuck to his regular choice of chicken fingers and French fries, served in a kid-sized portion at a reasonable price of $3.95. Since he often leaves some of his meal unfinished, this was appreciated. The service was friendly and attentive; in fact, when the waitress brought the other gentleman’s order to our table, she checked in with us as well. With my horchata and my friend's pork fajitas, we will likely return to El Paso. Next time, I might try one of their taco salad entrees or perhaps enchiladas suizas. I'm also tempted to explore one of the Spanish dishes, which seemed to lean towards Cuban cuisine. Overall, the prices were very reasonable.
My husband and I returned twice more during our stay. I tried the lunch special of baby tampiqueña, which I asked to be grilled rare, and it turned out to be very tender and perfectly cooked. On our last lunch at the end of the week, I ordered the chicken flautas again because they were so good, complete with their delicious chicken filling. As for my husband’s orders during those three visits... well, I was too focused on enjoying my own food to remember!
