The only downside was that there were only three simple side dishes (kimchi, potato, sprouts), but they were all prepared very well with amazing flavor. The service was also efficient.
I always stop at Waba after watching a movie at Coquitlam Cineplex. If you show them your movie ticket, you can get a free appetizer of your choice! I usually go for the croquette, which is delicious. Their seafood pancakes are also tasty. Overall, it's a great place to check out if you're in the area.
This Korean restaurant is one of our favorites. It's a hidden gem! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We always order the pork bone soup (Gamjatang) which is served piping hot with tender pork that falls off the bone. The soup is flavorful and hearty. If you don't like spicy food, you can request a mild version. Another favorite is the Galbi short rib, which is generously portioned and full of flavor. The service is top-notch. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty on our visits, the food never fails to impress!
Don't know why the overall rating is so low when the majority of the reviews are positive. Great food and nice decor. We ordered the japchae, sweet spicy fried chicken, and spicy squid pork bulgogi all 3 dishes were yummy. Seems like they changed owners recently (which makes having 1 server understandable). They were accommodating of food allergies. Would come again!<br/ <br/ Edit: Came again and ordered pork and kimchi bulgogi. Even as a person who normally does not like kimchi much, I found their kimchi delicious!
This Korean restaurant has been running for a year. It is close to Coquitlam SilverCity. They have many parking stalls outside the restaurant which is great! <br/ <br/ Atmosphere/ambiance:<br/ Great! It is not too noisy that I could sit, eat and chat with my friend. We could take as long as we wanted. The restaurant or waitresses never rushed us. The interior design is above average that my friend and I felt comfortable and were like eating at home. <br/ <br/ Service:<br/ The customer service was great. They asked for tea or water once we had arrived. I told a waitress that I got a special deal on the Yelp app. It was a free appetizer once I had checked in. The free appetizer was either breaded scallops (5 pieces at $3.95 or fried squid rings (5 pieces at $6.95. I picked the fried squid rings as it cost more. Haha.. <br/ <br/ Food:<br/ My friend couldn 't eat spicy food. The pork katsu noodle soup was supposed to be hot and spicy, but the restaurant could make us one without spicy soup. Nice! The bowl of soup and noodle was quite big and the deep fried pork katsu tasted great. The herbed pork bone soup was excellent as well. The food that we ordered was not too salty. Sometimes we had to drink a lot of water due to high sodium and MSG. We had leftover that we had to pack them home. <br/ <br/ Pricing:<br/ Their prices are reasonable. The food is not expensive comparing to Jang Mo Jib in Burnaby and downtown Vancouver. <br/ <br/ I would give them a 'LIKE ' here. :
