Sushi Mori - Coquitlam

Tuna Takaki was the only good dish we got (3/5). Mango garden roll was okay only (2/5). Squash Salad was subpar (0/5) as the sauce tasted like spite and the beets did not compliment the dish. The sashimi salad was okay (2/5) until we noticed a small CATERPILLAR crawling on the side of the dish within 5 minutes of consuming the salad. I lost my appetite after that! Nice interior, decent service, and extensive menu but food was extremely underwhelming. Disappointed about our first experience at this location.

Very reasonable price.food portion is big.yummy and delicious Japanese food and with some Korean fusions styles.love to go again with friends and family.

Food was pretty good and portions are big. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy yet service was slow and lacking.Ordered 3 lunch sets- one of them being a kids Bento. It would have been nice if that one came out first as children have less patience.Servers were not overly friendly. One of them looked like she didn't really want to be there. My biggest annoyance is the fact that one of the workers (seems to be the manager as she was on her laptop at the restaurant) had to use the wheelchair friendly washroom instead of the regular women's one. The wheelchair friendly one had the kids change table. My baby had a diaper blowout and was very upset but we had to wait for her to come out. No apologies after she came out. The women's washroom was not occupied and like I said the restaurant was not busy. Maybe just 4 tablesAlso the floors were incredibly slippery

Loved the place's atmosphere and food! I still have to go there many times to taste part of the menu ?

Ordered some of the rolls for a dinner gathering on BC Day. Very disappointed with the quality of the rolls.... I could not be able to tell the yellow object in the Tamago Roll indeed was made with eggs as it was rigid and blend. For the Dynamite Roll, I could not tell the greasy and soggy stuff inside being shrimp tempura. For the Unagi Roll, the BBQ eel was just a tiny piece of something inside the roll. The California Roll was indeed the worst. I was so embarrassed in sharing these sushi rolls with my friends. It was absolutely the worst sushi rolls I have ever had in my life. Had visited Sushi Mori before and the food quality was quite good. Not sure if there was a change of ownership after the fire in 2015.
