Nice spot. I did not like the idea of having to order before sitting down as I wanted a drink first. They did allow me to sit and have a long Island before I ordered. We had shrimp cocktail, chowder, garlic bread, basket of halibut and basket of chicken strips. My 19 year old kid isn't picky and starving and hated the chicken strips. He said they were sogging and nasty. My girl said bread was burnt and gross. We loved the shrimp, halibut and chowder. Bartender, waiter and bus boy did a great job. We had a little mix up with Bill but got it straightened out. I would stop by again if we ever made through again.
At first we went from Eastside to the surf shop. Sweet little business for a variety of water wear and clothing. I didn't know we were coming back. The order for food was carried out in a way I never did. You will see a menu on a table, then go to the counter and place your order. After that you can choose your table in another room. Anders! I'm not sure how I felt that. It seemed strange. We waited for our drinks and food. It wasn't busy at all, so I wasn't sure why it took 10 minutes to get our drinks. I thought something had to happen first, but then I started wondering if we were forgotten. We were the only two people back then. I didn't feel like we had priority. When people came in to sit, I started thinking that I was glad we were there when we did. The food finally came 32 minutes from the order. It's a while. I was glad I had good company. The food itself is fine. Nothing to boast. I'd say about averages. The drinks were also on average. I think I'd say the espresso dessert was the best article on the list we had. Not sure we're back. Feel kind of mixed about the experience.
This place has a fun atmosphere and good food! The fish and chips melt in your mouth and their spicy cod tacos were full of taste. The water was infused with lemon, lime and orange, which really hits the point.
We were in Coos Bay for the night in a motel just a few blocks away. This was a place recommended by the brochure in the lobby. We were looking for Brewery Art Food with options for my gluten-free mother and this place seemed like the perfect fit! The prices online were affordable, the menu seemed enough we could both be satisfied. We had to park on the main road 101, the place did not offer private parking. The line was out of the door, which is usually a good thing! But after self-navigation I found that two menu lines were offered on the front, one gluten free the other regular, which is wonderful if I knew before waiting! The menu was limited, most articles were spicy Tacos someone looking for were not spicy almost out of luck. I ordered the Halibut Burger, my mother ordered the Nachos. We sat at the bar because it was so busy and no places were available. We didn't order drinks, so it was kind of embarrassing and cramped. The room is very small, how busy it is. However, the employees were very courteous and friendly. Once the food arrived, all ingredients were fresh and well prepared! We have our dishes with a good amount of Leftover Nachos! I recommend this place because of the quality of food. If you are ready to navigate, solve problem and try new things this place is for you! If you need to sit and instructions with a menu with many options parking... maybe not!
