The drink service can be a bit inconsistent, so it's wise to keep an eye on the wait staff if you want to sample their extensive drink menu. On our third visit, there were some service hiccups, but after discussing it with Jason the next day, we were kindly invited back to give them another chance. I’m glad we did, as the service on that occasion was outstanding, and I hope it continues that way. Jason's commitment to customer service is clear, and if you encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to reach out to him. It's reassuring to see that Choofas has managed to navigate through the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, especially since Coolangatta has faced difficulties with the NSW border just a short distance away. With the reopening of the QLD border, I hope things continue to improve for them. Thank you once again, and we look forward to our next visit when we’re in Coolangatta.

Choofas excels at delivering a cuisine that is notoriously challenging to perfect and serve fresh. We tried a variety of meats, and each of the three dishes we ordered was fantastic. The side salads complemented the main attractions without overshadowing the meat. The staff were incredibly friendly, and even the new employee who was being trained performed admirably, aided by her supportive colleague. We made a reservation for our trip from the west, and it exceeded our expectations. We will definitely make it a point to return every time we pass through. To cap off our evening, we had a brief conversation with the gentleman at the entrance, and it was evident that he is truly passionate about the restaurant and its offerings. This is undoubtedly one of the best places around; anyone who thinks otherwise clearly doesn't understand what they're missing.

This restaurant always delivers. It's one of my favorite spots in Coolangatta. I highly recommend the hot wings—they're incredibly delicious! Everything I've tried from the menu has been fantastic.

Tonight, my teenage son and I dived into choofas. I told him how we would try to rip them, but they won't be as good as mine. So they were absolutely amazing and I announce everything from the beautiful cold beer, cuddly garlic bread, buffalo wings to die for, wonderful friendly smile service...and the ribs. we are coming back!

My partner and I went out for dinner and I honestly couldn't have been happier. We had the Kilpatrick oysters, which were incredible. My partner ordered the Speck cheeseburger, and I had half a kilo of ribs. Wow is all I can say—it was delicious! The service was definitely on point as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
