We saw him lovingly stroking the stingray and he explained to us that if you're kind to them they are kind back.Food was good quality and the young staff loaned us wine glasses as we brought along our own wine. This great little waterside cafe is a must visit place for a take away meal or a sit down meal with live and free fish feeding show.Small tip : book a table for 6pm and bring along a decent wine to go with your meakStrong suggestion: please give the waiter and kitchen staff a GENEROUS TIP. They're worth it and you will feel good about doing a good deed and reinforcing good friendly serviceENJOY!
We went here for breakfast and it was excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. Waiting time was minimal.Got talking to the owner and because we could not be there for the Groper feeding in the afternoon, he threw some feed to coax in two of the biggest fish I have ever seen.I can also guarantee that all his fish is fresh.
Some of the best Kiosk food we've had. Apart from the amazing iced coffees we had, the fish and calamari were top quality. You get to watch the gropers being fed on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday evenings too now that it's open those evenings too. Give this place a try!
My husband and I went there for brekky every morning, after a disappointing service at Capers Cafe the morning prior, and it's always tops. Very relaxing sitting looking at the beautiful views, while enjoying a lovely breakfast, and the staff is lovely
The Kiosk only serves fresh seafood, so it took a little while to get my delightful Prawn cutlets. The prawns were large and plump battered with a tasty crumb batter. They were by far the best I have lately had. My husband had Calamari which he also liked. The dishes came with a fresh salad and chips. Would go there again if visited Cooktown in the future.
