Village Kitchen - Cookeville

Absolutely Great! The Village Kitchen is an iconic family eatery in Cookeville since the 70's! The food is delicious, well-priced and the service is wonderful. Family owned and operated and they care about each and every customer who walks through their doors. I always tell everyone to stop in to the Village Kitchen and grab a bite. Great burgers and all you can eat catfish.... great place to go on saturday nights where they have live music from 6-8pm.... very enjoyable...

We have ate there twice. Had the catfish. Was GREAT whether grilled or fried !! Hush puppies were great also. The pinto beans tasted like slow cooked beans from grandma's. We brought friends the 2nd time and hey said they would go back. The service was good.The cooks seemed to really care ! One walked by and saw a hush puppy had not been eaten and asked if it was ok.! Again, GREAT place !! Quiet ,off the beaten path .Highly recommend!

It's a really nice place to take the family and friends to eat at lots of nice cooks and waiters and a great boss to top it off so any one that hasn't came to the village kitchen come on down and have a great time

Everything is great especially for a college student looking for a good southern meal. Breakfast is my favorite!
