Rob's Fish Chip Shop - Conwy

As a local we've been visiting this Chippy occasionally for many years. We are however becoming more disappointed by the quality of the food. The prices are good as obviously people are shopping around for value for money with the crisis if living. But personally I would rather pay a bit more for better quality Fish (Cox) Chips and peas. Last two recent visits the large Cod is so thin it might as well not be their! The batter was over cooked and of a chewy consistency. The chips over cooked and chewy. Many of the chips inedible. The food quality has certainly gone down hill since the business makeover. Does Rob Parkin still own the business? Staff very friendly and helpful. Obviously hard working as is always busy without many local competitors nearby. I think maybe a bit more attention to quality ingredients may help. Seems virtually impossible to get a decent fish chips from Rhyl to Abergele. Probably lost our valuable custom dye to poor quality food. Nevermind. Hopefully the owners can take a positive spin on reviews like this to help improve there well established business.

Popped in today for a fish chip dinner on the last day of our holiday in the area, they certainly did not dissapoint, been coming here for years we have never had a bad meal from here.

Robs fish and chips are fab food fresh great portions spotless inside staff friendly Rob has a great personality the whole family enjoyed their meals next time in north Wales this will be our go to place the best we've had you truly deserve the praise x
