My husband had the white fish and I had the black shrimp and that was definitely a five-star menu! Jonathan was our server and he was definitely a real professional! Will definitely go back!
Nice restaurant with a friendly staff and delicious food. My wife enjoyed the Golden Fried Shrimp with Fried Okra and I really liked the Prime Rib Sandwich with Red Beans Rice. Very recommended. We got no chance to taste their cocktails as we had ordered wine glasses, but from the menu the drinks heard well and we will probably order at our next visit.
By far the best place for fine food within 100 miles! Top Notch service with a wonderful collection of Maura Weirs artworks to see. Food has always been consistent for years. Do not hesitate to stop for a great culinary experience.
We had dinner tonight at Mike's Place. I had the fried green tomatoes, the red pepper Crawfish Bisque, and the shrimps and grits that made them happy without the pig. When I told them about my allergy to pork and beef, the waiter said he would tell the cook to make sure that the grottos cook separately (they cook a grotto on a flat top. Usually I can't get shrimp and grits because the sausage is always cooked in it, so I was shocked that they could leave it for me. Extremely impressed, and the entire meal was simply phenomenal. We had a waiter at the bar who was very attentive and told me that the Rock Lobster dran was better than I told him that I like my drinks, as I like my men, sweet and fruity. The Rock Lobster Drink was so good, I had two of them. We moved to a table and had another waiter who was just as attentive. It's the 23rd. My son's birthday and he brought Dessert with an illuminated candle. I love Mike's place!
My wife and I had Sunday lunch here and it was fabulous! The menu is elegant comfort food. I got the prime rib sandwich with au jus, my wife got the shrimp in bam bam sauce and we had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The food was over the top excellent. Cost was $41 bucks plus tip for our lunch, so perhaps pricey for Sunday lunch. However, this is a very nicely appointed restaurant with nice tables and chairs, nice woodwork, cloth napkins and sturdy silverware. Hot bread is served while you browse the menu, and it’s a real menu, not a QR code scanned and read on your phone. The wait staff were all very helpful. Our waitress was Calia and she was wonderful. The bathrooms are well appointed, clean and have hand towels rather than irritating hot air blowers to dry your hands after washing. There is plenty of space between tables. My only minor complaint is the front door is not obvious from the exterior. You have to actually look for and find 808 Front Street. I suppose the understated entry is intended to be upscale. They certainly did not need a giant neon sign outside to bring in a crowd as it was a pretty full restaurant. I really loved this place and will come back again next time I am in Conway, Arkansas.
