The Travellers Rest - Consett

I had the lamb shank. I was up in the area for training and have been going to this pub the last few times now they already know what my order will be. The lamb shank was beautiful as always. The staff and really friendly and inviting. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. See you again soon

By far one of the best places to eat/drink in Consett, the food is always amazing and the staff are always polite and helpful.

Very very good food, really good service they are all so nice there! We sat upstairs which was so cosy and warm on a snowy night. Love the place, will definitely go back much more often. Can’t wait for summer to go with my dog.

I can genuinely say that Travs offers the best burgers, beer, and service in Consett by far. It's definitely one of the top local pubs in the Northeast. I always look forward to bringing the kids here; we’re always welcomed with open arms, especially on Wednesday nights during the school holidays.
