Bauer's Dam - Conover

A small family owned bar/resort. We made the drive over from Phelps to try something new. The place is small, with only 4 tables inside and a patio. We lucked out and got a table. You order at the bar. We ordered cheese curds (which were more like cheese cubes) and garlic bread. They were good. Nothing great, but good. The kids enjoyed them. The pizza was pretty good. We ended up taking some home. The staff were really nice and friendly.

Wonderful location overlooking a lake, great drinks (try the local specialty brandy Old Fashioned). Excellent cheese curds everyone was happy with their meal.

Always good Food, fresh and hot!!! Friendly service and clean establishment!!! Highly recommended!!!

First time snowmobiling and it was an awesome day. We skidded to Bauer's Dam and it was oacker with a middle aged ruckus fun crowd having a great time. My chili was good, root beer cold, and i had a great time

Owners were very nice, but food in my opinion was VERY EXPENSIVE. Hamburger and fries was , nothing special about the burger, it was a standard maybe 1/4 to 1/3 pound burger with just lettuce, tomato and onion. I had a beer and my wife had ice tea, each ice tea refill was 2.50, it was medium size glass filled with ice, three refills maybe equaled full glass of tea, so the tea charge was 7.50. It was ok, but would think twice about going back.
