Original Pancake House

If you want your food delivered in a reasonable amount of time and as requested, go somewhere else. The place was maybe, a quarter full, yet, we waited more than 45 minutes for our food. We ordered an egg white vegetarian omelette without broccoli and cheese on the side, a half stack which is 3 pancakes and a veggie burger. When our order finally arrived, the server didn’t bother to bring the omelette because it was prepared incorrectly full eggs. The pancake half stack was only 2 we didn’t say anything cause it would have probably taken another 20 minutes for another one. The pancakes and the burger were just ok, nothing special, but definitely not worth the wait. We didn’t have a good eta on the new omelette, but it came not too long after. But when it arrived, there was broccoli in it and no cheese in the side. At that point, we had had enough. We asked that the omelette be taken off and we left. Our server handled the situation as good as he could but with the horrible experience we were having, I fully expected the manager to at least speak with us to offer some apology for the complete lack of urgency in the kitchen making patrons wait for food that should not have taken so long and for the incorrect order that came out twice. We were told the space was transitioning to become a new space called Exotic Buckhead. Hopefully they’ll get it together by then.

What happened to this once great local spot?? Just 6 months ago I proudly took out of town guests here and everything was nice. But this morning? After waiting an hour for two omelets, the wrong orders were delivered, our grits were cold, the wrong toast was delivered (white instead of whole wheat), and the waitress’s reaction? “You don’t want this? What should I do?” When nicely asking why things were so slow, she said there was a sudden rush of customers. But when looking around, only about 25% of the tables were filled with a few outside. There were almost as many staff members as customers. We ended up leaving because of my concern of cleanliness. If the staff cannot handle simple food orders such as omelettes and pancakes, how well are they cleaning the kitchen area? I will not return as my concern is food poisoning. Also, there was no sign of a manager being present.

I ordered a stack of pancakes this morning and they were all burned! I don't think they're properly cleaning their stove top. I couldn't even eat them or give it to my babies. The cheesy eggs were great though. Also, I was in the bathroom with my babies, and a man came in the bathroom after he had already told me to be careful of the wet floors. So he knew I was in there and had no reason to come back in there. I don't recommend coming here!!

Food is okay but service is absolutely terrible. It takes 10 minutes to be greeted and the same to be met by a server. Forget about asking for additional condiments after your food finally arrives. An empty plates brings them back quickly to get your money and stand watch while you select tip.I guess it will be months before I return to see if anything improves.

First off the place is so clean,very nicely decorated. The young lady who took my order was so patient and attentive. She balanced her duties well and works efficiently. The food omg so good I got a bacon lovers breakfast and everything was perfecto. I should've known though, they have two older black guys cooking. I would definitely come back to this location.
