We had the Chinese chicken biscuit and it was absolutely buttery, flavorful, and the perfect blend of southern and Asian. Their Vietnamese coffee is fabulous as well. We wish we could've eaten more! We would 100% come back and recommend this spot to family and friends :
I've heard really great things about this place and the inside was adorable. The sign outside isn't the most inviting but once you walk in you're in a little pastel cafe. Sit outside it's covered and warm! We ordered the papaya salad which had a kick to it and I mean a KICK. It was good with all the nuts and starfruit but I wasn't aware it was going to be spicy! The rangoons were great and super fresh. The filling was soft and light vs your typical Rangoon that's super heavy feeling. There was this spicy chicken special with curry potatoes. The potato's were to die for! The chicken was too spicy for me but my fiancé had a flavor blast! If you like the spice get that chicken! After dinner there was a little walk up cafe inside we ordered a cappuccino and it was cheaper than Starbucks! Tasted like a little European cafe very impressed!
Southern asian fusion is my new favorite thing! This place has the best way to combine some great food with some great flavor profiles. The entire place was a great brunch setting and our server was so helpful giving us recommendation and time. We ended up getting the turkish egg bread which was better than ones I've had before good bread, good cheese pull, fantastic taste. My friend got the rice bowl with tofu and I got the 5 spice chicken biscuit. So filling but every bute was as good as the last.
The food was very good but service was horrific. When I received the bill there was a 20% tip built-in to the charge automatically. Thats just wrong, especially if the service is bad. I could go on and on about the pitiful service but I think one can get the picture. I will not return as I refuse to be charged a 20% tip for terrible service. On the receipt it says they automatically add 20% so that their servers can make a living wage. They wouldn't have to do that if their servers did a good job.
Loved my solo date on a Saturday morning. After getting my car washed next door, I needed to grab a bite. Walked in to a friendly hostess and lively dining area with exposed kitchen and prep area. Outdoor seating is enclosed with heat lamps. There's also a walk up counter area for drinks and pastries. You can just sit at the nearby sofas with your light snack if you're not ordering. My entree was the fried chicken biscuit, side salad and Thai tea. The Chinese Chili Crisp biscuit was drizzled with honey, chicken cooked to perfection and the salad was small but tasty. There are lots of Vietnamese options on the menu from pastries, noodles, steak, French toast, quiche and more. Service was laid back yet attentive and music filled the background. I'll definitely be back.
