A true New Hampshire institution and today with first time visitors ever to New Hampshire, the Common Man did not disappoint.
Not my first visit to a common man, but my first visit to her Concord site. the atmosphere is very similar to its lincoln nh location. I love the open rustic lodge feeling. eating was excellent as always and logan, our server was very sweet and charming. sad because covid the free snacks not even close to what they use to be. Hopefully, when the business returns, this amenity will improve. if they were not with a common man, they will definitely check them!
The place was full, but the waiting time was quite short. it is as if the common man restaurant of concord, nh, is on the radar of many people looking for ambiente, great eating, good service and cheap trips. once sitting, we were invited to help us cracker and special cheese dives while waiting for our appetizer are served. I loved it! we also enjoyed the rustic relaxed mood with just the right touch of casual elegance and I must say that it was a pleasure to meet lucy. she served our meal and brought much more joyful, charming and her know-how in fine restaurants that made our time there a real joy. —Can't say enough about this beautiful dame! kim, the restaurant manager was also very warm, as she carefully checked the round that everything was good at every guest table. eating! a “must try” is the almost escargot. it was so good! if they love mushrooms, they will love this dish and its presentation. the grill room steak lured with a garlic butter baste was delicious. this steak was not quite so delicate, but I will try it again for its wonderful tastes. the other entree was bacon onion chicken. both entrees were served with fresh vegetables and a selection of kartoffels or reispilaf. we went for baked potato with sour cream and butter. the chicken dish was deliciously different and satisfying! dessert was chief of choice. berry cheesecake with white chocolate. terrible! now for the lower line. we were very happy with everything. we recommend the common man very and look forward to our next visit!
Only on the road from where we lived, the common man was a simple choice for us; and it was a great. leah, our server, was cheerful and attentive, and our eating was delicious. we didn't get a whisper because our escaped were generous and filled out (I had the nantucket pie – pictured). when in concord – and hungry – stop!
