I also enjoyed the fried drumsticks with sauce - they were delicious! I was pleased to see a menu with plenty of vegan options. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean. The prices were also very reasonable.
Veggies Today is a 100% vegetarian restaurant, mostly vegan, with a casual and bright atmosphere more like a café than a restaurant. We tried four items and found two or three of them to be good. The foo young appetizer was a highlight with a good flavor and a little crunch. The wonton soup was flavorful but too salty and the wrappers were a bit thick. The caramelized vegan chicken had good flavor and texture but could use more spinach. The tamarind beef was too sweet for our liking. Overall, the protein dishes were light on veggies. The restaurant has good social and environmental impact with almost all items being vegan. Some areas for improvement include better sourcing information and more eco-friendly packaging. Overall, Veggies Today gets 4 out of 5 "green stars."
The vegan dishes at this restaurant are incredibly delicious, with fantastic sauces. It may not be a fancy spot, but it is definitely worth coming back to. After my trail run on Mt. Diablo, I purchased 5 dishes to bring back to San Francisco. I highly recommend dining here.
My mom and I loved this place and she doesn't eat vegan. We tried the potstickers, their version of cha cha shrimp. And one of the fried rices. The Thai tea was one of the best I've had and I can't stop thinking about it.
Love this place! Their food’s legit and fairly priced compared to most vegans spots!
