Legends At Diablo Creek - Concord

You cannot beat eating outside at the golf course on a cool summer day. The food is good at an awesome price.

What I always appreciate about the 19th hole at a golf course are the food offerings and the draft beer. After we finished playing golf yesterday the eight of us ate lunch here. Same ordering process as before. Great selections and something for everyone. Hubby I both ordered the ground beef taco salad. The ingredients were somewhat Americanized- romaine lettuce, picante sauce, corn kernels, etc. But still good. We had Karl the Fog hazy IPA's. Went well with our taco salads.

After a round of golf decided to eat at Legend. You order at the counter, then find your seat and they bring your food to the table. We ate inside since it was so hot after a round of golf and wanted air-conditioning. I ordered a Taco Salad to share with hubby. Lettuce was fresh and had lots of ingredients. Taco shell was crisp and fresh. Price of taco salad with a fountain drink was over $20+. Price is a little on the higher side. Service was okay and the inside was clean. Lots of tables outside if you want to eat outdoors. This wasn't our first time eating at Legends... use to be better but it's still good.

This place is a gem. If you're on the range or the course it is a good place to get food and drinks. Or, if you want to come to watch the game there are lots of TVs, good friendly crowds, and a fast and efficient service . The food is very good considering the prices. If you're a parent your kids eat free breakfast on the weekend which consists of eggs, toast and bacon or sausage. Very budget friendly compared to other parts of the East Bay like downtown Concord or Walnut Creek. The decor is a bit dated and probably needs to be refreshed some time soon but for now it works it's almost charming. The staff is all friendly and they do their work quickly and the regulars get to know each other which is nice.

Today my husband picked up lunch for me. He had been here and had the taco salad before and thought it was really good, so that it what he got for me. It was not good. All of the lettuce was white and cut from the core of the lettuce. This not what should be in an expensive salad! The rest of it was jack n the box- ish. 3 stars because maybe there is new guy in the kitchen.
