Pizzeria Il Pepe Nero - COMO

The staff were extremely rude and uninterested. Please don’t go here, there are much better restaurants in Como. The lasagne was 100% frozen microwaved and when we asked for parmesan we were served an almost empty pot with mouldy cheese inside.

Can’t remember ever waiting 15 minutes for a table, being told and seeing your table is being prepared, another party just turn up and the table is given to them. Ok the table was for 4 but plenty of couples were sat at similar tables. Ordered chicken schnitzel for my wife and a calzone pizza for myself. She had almost ate her meal before mine arrived. When I told the waiter I wasn’t happy he said do you want the pizza or not. As for the food itself the chicken schnitzel was poor with a thin piece of overcooked chicken my calzone very average. The waiter then had the audacity to include a cover charge for 2 people receiving awful service. The owner who eventually took off the service charge was equally rude. What surprised us was the place was very busy when we arrived which is usually a sign the restaurant is doing something right. Well we never saw anything

The staff was incredibly rude. The waiter took our plates without asking, and when we hadn’t finished eating, he looked at us in an unpleasant manner. It was the worst experience.

Awful dining experience unbelievably rude staff when we found out there was no gluten free options the table cloth was taken from our table and the waiter was muttering in Italian overall so many lovely friendly restaurants in Como I would recommend before this one, including the mc Donald’s on the next street over. Wish I had seen the reviews beforehand!

This resturant was awful.. service charge to sit down. Hamburger was awful, pizza and lasagne just ok. Better choices everywhere.
