Oishii - COMO

This is a regular Chinese-managed all you can eat sushi restaurant, their selection of dishes is a bit limited and the service is ok, so Chinese. The typical places where you would go when the munchies take over.

We walked from the Lake through the old town to this restaurant which is on the other side and really enjoyed it and then arriving in Como suburbia which was still quaint and vibrant. The food was great and exactly what we needed after too much Italian food. We had the fried chicken and prawns for entree and prawn and chicken red curries for mains and they were delicious. Not large or overly spicy meals but tasty and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and pleasant restaurant.

This is a buffet restaurant with selection of Japanese and Thai food. The atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing. The ingredients used for the Japanese food is very fresh. The food tasted relatively authentic. The Thai food is average as the taste has been adjusted and toned down to cater to the local palette. For a price of Euro 19 per person and the wide selection of food, I would consider this a fair price to pay in Italy. The staff were not smiling or friendly. Some smiling would have made the customers fell more welcomed.

Nice Thai/Japanese restaurant were you can enjoy an all you can eat menu at 19€ for dinner. The plus is that you can choose both Thai and Sushi dimes from a pretty equipped menu. Thai is pretty good, as well as the Sushi (which has just too much rice). The staff is very kind and available. Not the same level of Tokio in Como but, if you don't want to spend 50€ for a sushi dinner in Como, you definitely want to try the Oishii!

..... before was my favourite Thai Restaurant in Como (Thon Thai) .... now it has been replaced with OISHII Thai Sushi Restaurant: good price, good food (not tried yet Thai) and quiet place... completely renovated. Staff is very polite too ! Definately one of my favourite restaurant in Como !
