Baita Monte Croce - COMO

A great lunch at a cost more than just. cozy and familiar atmosphere in the fresh forest

Surrounded by greenery and tranquility, the hut can be reached on foot or possibly by car (preferably off-road) through a dirt road and sometimes cobbled. the hut is simple and rustic and also has an outdoor area where you can get the excellent and genuine dishes offered served by the staff with kindness and courtesy. excellent liqueur produced by them with the herbs of the valley. play area for children and bowls field, also only 5 minutes walk you can reach the cross of Sant'eustichio and admire the wonderful panorama of como and the lake.

In spite of the day a little grey with hints of rain, we decided to come anyway to lunch here at the hut, about 15 min uphill from como citt. the road to get dirt and quite narrow, but with a 4x4 you get well. the min only fixed to 25, including two courses (choice between mix cured meats, lazzoccheri tagliatelle to mushrooms, rusticiada, sweet excluded,) source water, disused wine (not excellent,) coffee and digestive (the cruising quality not bad. but it did not excite us here: Good meats, bread, too, but for example the lazzoccheri had almost zero cheese and so much cream (it seemed there was a kind of batter). family service a little imprecise at several times, but all in all ok. points in favor: the playground immediately outside for children, convenient parking, the different hiking trails starting from l (the cross just 3/4 min walk with panoramic view on como).

Great refuge in a cool and atmeno place. Good food. great to take a walk in the park of the green plug and then re-pair.
