Rhos Fynach Tavern - Colwyn Bay

Disappointing. 10 years behind pub grub standards. This pub food tasted like it was bought from a supermarket and cooked in a microwave at home... my fish was burnt. Can’t you get fresh fish by the seaside. Sachet sauces shouldn’t exist anymore. The price is a lot higher than any chain pub and the quality much lower. Please review how other pubs cook food and move with the times to improve the quality. People don’t expect the earth with pub grub but this one took the biscuit.

I honestly wish I had taken pictures but the Roast Sunday Dinner was lovely. The roast potatoes were stunning and veg cooked to perfection. The young waiting staff were so profesional and run off their feet. They really are a credit. The decor might be a bit tired but the food and service was excellent.

We had a lovely meal whilst on holiday here. 8 adults and 2 children were in our party and received great service which was fast and friendly. The meals were incredibly reasonably priced for their exceptional quality and I was pleased to see how much choice there was, particularly for vegans. The pub is really tidy and the outdoor area was lovely and all of the staff were so friendly. Would definitely recommend!

This place hasn't been great for a long time. Really beautiful historic building which is spoilt by the grubby, badly painted outdoor furniture, weeds, litter, dated and excessive signage, and now bird netting. Overall the place just looks shabby and not unlike the tourist trap pubs on the Rhyl seafront. Drinks are exceptionally expensive and my pint tasted like the lines needed cleaning.

A nice location on Rhos Point, just off the Prom, it's centuries old building so small car park. There is a larger public car park a short walk away though. Good food menu and good selection of drinks, bottles and taps. Big outside area for al fresco dining, thankfully protected by netting to avoid Seagull attacks, although one bird did simply walk in. Good food, rapid service and reasonable prices. (Eating out anywhere is more expensive these days eh? A children's play area close by but not sure if part of RM set up. We are an older couple. Well behaved dogs on a lead allowed. Overall, a nice lunch in a nice pub. Beer was good too (Shipyard APA .
