Over the years, we've spent much time in many excellent shacks, but Lavina's is the best! Why? Firstly the service and attention from the lads running it. Ismile, Suhil and Suiliman (please excuse the spelling) work their socks, well flip-flops, off to provide outstanding service....The hours they work is incredible, and yet they are there every day, smiling, laughing and are proactive in ensuring your day on the beach is totally relaxing. Of course, this alone would not distinguish them from several other shacks, but where Lavina's does edge the others, is the quality of food. Consistently, over a two week period, the level is high. We did not have one dodgy' dish served to us and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We normally had both breakfast and lunch with them. And the lads were also good at catering for my wife's glutten free diet. (Only downside is that I gained pounds during my stay
Always a warm welcome from Smiley and his lads. Food excellent service second to none, can’t recommend this place strongly enough total relaxation with your every whim catered for.
This beach shack is our favorite spot on the beach, and we always make sure to return. During our recent stay in Majorda/Betalbatim, just a short distance from Gonsu Beach where the shack is located, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the sunbeds, enjoying delicious food, and watching the beautiful Goan sunsets with a cold beer in hand. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including seafood, fish, Goan cuisine, international dishes, and Chinese food. Our top picks were the crispy chicken or veg, chicken and green pepper, and satay chicken. The soups were a surprising delight, especially when paired with a cheese garlic naan. The staff, including Ismile, Soleman, and Sahil, were fantastic - friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. We even had the chance to see dolphins swimming by a few times, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. We are already looking forward to returning in January.
For a more peaceful beach shack experience, make your way to Lavina's Beach Shack at Gonsua beach. Located right by the beach, Lavina's is the first shack you will come across, easily recognizable by its flag poles and red, white, and blue picket fence. Owned by Livia, a fantastic cook, the food here is delicious and great value for money. The friendly staff, including Ismail, provide excellent service and go above and beyond to ensure guests are well taken care of. Just like at Alex's Place, if you purchase food or drinks, you can use their sunbeds and umbrellas for free. Additionally, if you miss the last shuttle bus back to the Alila Diwa, they will arrange a complimentary cab for you. We can't wait to come back to this amazing place with such wonderful people.
