Olive Garden Italian - Columbia

I am extremely disappointed with this restaurant. It appears that the quality of the establishment is directly related to the quality of the employees and their attitudes. The workers were extremely rude and unprofessional. I have only experienced this one time, so I cannot say that every restaurant in South Carolina is the same, but it was a disappointing experience. This place is by far the worst and trashiest restaurant I have ever visited.

Yes, the food was delicious, but the waiter's professionalism was exceptional!

We had lunch at a restaurant and were seated in a busy area with a mix of people of all ages and lots of chatter and celebration. While that atmosphere was great for some, it was a bit noisy for us. We asked to be moved to a quieter spot and the staff graciously accommodated our request.

I waited 10 minutes before I decided to go to the writing and order my food. the bar station sat the hold time. After I had abandoned my order, it took 10 minutes to ask me if I wanted to order or if I wanted a drink. I come here a lot, but now I see why I quit. I only have my order to go, a beer out of the bar. Some of the employees were great. I left the bar to place my order togo and they were great. I have my beer two minutes before my lunch.

I don’t typically comment but I feel this needs to be said. This is only MY opinion but my entire family felt this way today. Olive Garden has always been a family favorite but this location is not. We have had the same experience twice when visiting. Today will be the last. We teach our children to respect everyone and give people the benefit of the doubt when people behave rudely or seem they may have a problem with you, but we definitely felt very uncomfortable. We were not greeted with a smile and were told we had to wait for 15 minutes. While the wait wasn’t the problem, it was the fact other families that were not the same race were seated after we arrived. This location does not have reservations. We waited the 15 minutes and the host looked at us and told us to go sit in the bar area. Didn’t guide us with menus, just told us to go sit. My kids were starving so we sucked it up and sat. After sitting uncomfortably for a minute, my family and I decided together that today was the day we would never come back. This only reflects poorly on the person who had the opportunity to treat me and my family with respect and I can only hope this was an exaggeration on my part.
