Our second experience (same day a few hours later before we left Columbia) with a waitress was terrible. It wasn't that busy at all and I didn't see much of her with the other table she had either. Took 20 mins for her to greet us and get our drinks and dessert orders, 10 mins to get our drinks (at this time she said food will be right out). 15 mins later we finally got our straws (from another waitress who made it known that we inconvenienced her), and 10 mins after that we were walking out. We thought it would've been a quick 30 minute stop for dessert before our long drive back home, but it ended up being 55 mins of a waste of time. No manager around, no one else was trying to help. Service later that night was poor. I'm sure food would've been good though!
My man and I were at the Beltline site twice. we both sat in the bar and we both had the same barkeeper. I don't know how their other bartenders are, but I can say that the bartender we had (both time) is extremely attentive to which I accept are their masters (where I have seen them both paint and watched our bartender, spend a lot of time talking to them, both paint). he makes a great work to keep their current customers what is important to run a business. as someone who just moved here who lives a few blocks away and who is looking for a friendly afterbarity where I can spend time and lots of money, I need to look further. I want a bar in which the bartender is at least one more time during the hour or more they are there (or at least in eye contact with them when they try to get his attention so that they can order another drink), and who do not forget to bring them the glass they have ordered. I have to find a place that wants new people; J.R cash’s seems quite happy with where they are and who they already have. I wish them the best.
My husband and I enjoy J. R. Cash’s prime rib. Tonight, it was cooked to perfection and you could cut it with a fork! We had their house salad with house dressing (it’s very similar to one at a local downtown restaurant) and there was no skimping on the toppings. The salad was served with a warm, fresh croissant drizzled with honey. They had a new general manager, Brian, who came from the Clemson Road location. He was great to oversee our dining experience to ensure it was top notch and that we would be back. Great job!!
Been here a couple of times, not exactly sure what's going on with the name change. As other people have commented this place's menu is very similar to California Dreaming. I'm a huge fan of the chicken fingers. My parents like this place, and it's pretty rare that they like a restaurant that isn't cheap fast food.
I would like to try something at j. peters except the hamburger, but it's so good, I can't stop ordering it. I get the loaded kartoffels to go with it and they are just too good for cake. I love the atmosphere. the restaurant is very well furnished and the lighting is just right. it is stylish looking and casual at the same time. my sister and I always get the cheese with jalapenos. delicious. I want every chance back. love it!
