Cava Grill Dobbin Station - Columbia

I have ordered a split portion of meat multiple times at this restaurant. Each time, I have received only two tiny lamb meatballs and almost no chicken. The portion size does not justify the prices they charge. It is so small that I have to inspect it closely to even confirm that it is chicken. It is not even half of what I would expect. It seems like they are giving me scraps from the grill. This has happened several times and I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it has become ridiculous.

The portions in all of the dishes were small, with barely more than a tablespoon of chicken. We had to search for the meat, which was strange. Additionally, the dressing was added to the salad instead of being served on the side, making it arrive very soggy.

I recently discovered some seriously good mezze at this restaurant, and I went twice this week because it was so delicious! The drink I had was pumpkin apple, and the mezze included a base of locally grown supergreens like kale, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, chicory, and cauliflower, along with grains like saffron rice and black lentils, and protein like falafel and roasted autumn vegetables. The meal also came with three dips - Eggplant/Babaganoush, tzatziki, and purple hummus - all served in compostable dishes and utensils. And the best part? It was only $8.85! They also offer gift cards through the Cava Grill app.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The concept is interesting and it definitely works well. I enjoyed having a variety of options to choose from. I ordered the chalk bowl with lamb meatballs, which were delicious. The drink selection was impressive, and I tried a few different flavors. I was curious if they truly compost all biodegradable plastic alternatives or if they just throw them in the trash. I have a strong aversion to plastic. The atmosphere felt a bit sterile to me; I wish it had more of a Greek feel or something more visually appealing. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely try to come back soon.

My first experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The braided lamb was incredibly juicy and flavorful. They offer a variety of options for customers to customize their own dishes. The service was quick and reasonably priced, and the restaurant follows social distancing guidelines. The only downside was the crowded parking lot in the busy shopping center.
