Bj's Brewhouse Columbiana Station

Food was great. I appreciate that the quantity isn't completely sacrificed for quality here. Our server was amazing (sorry, can't remember her name, a young lady with dreads). She felt pretty genuine, as opposed to the servers who add in an extra positive tone to what seems like a script they have memorized. She was on top of things and pretty honest about things the regarded our food as to make sure we were happy with our order.

My wife and I are long time customers frequenting 2-3 times a month. 30 min drive for us. We’d like to see the calamari come back to its original dish. It’s now either out or small portions and crumbles. More bread than calamari. And the price is still the same. Last night they served our dishes in smaller bowls than they usually do. I get inflation but if you cut out servings some prices should lower with it. Still very good food but the food quantity suffers for the price charged.

Our server started by letting us know she had already been working for 7.5 hours and her feet hurt. After seated, it took 20 minutes for server to visit. We ordered 3 soft drinks and 2 beers for our party of 5 and an order of chips and salsa. It took 30 more minutes to get the drinks and then an additional 15 minutes after that to get the chips and salsa (they were very good). The tables around us came in well after us and were served in a much more expeditious manner (same server). Had to go to front of restaurant receptionist to get paper napkins (other tables were given cloth napkins), had to walk up to bar across room to get soda refills. When food arrived, was very tasty. My wife had ordered a wedge salad that never came (ultimately was not on bill, but it was ordered). We were given a nice souvenir glass at the end. This was our 4th time visiting (we live 45 minutes away) and every other time it was GREAT! Not this time, and on Mothers Day, definitely put a downer on the day.

What a great first experience dining at this restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was amazing.

Mother’s Day. Lots of business and they handled it in stride. Very professional staff and good food. A little pricey, but understandable. Will go back soon.
