I stopped here as part of a tour group in Panama. Being outside wasn't so bad, it was not too hot in February. The menu for us was limited, but I had fried chicken and it was some of the best I have ever had, and I am from the South! The rice and beans were ok, and by this time, I was tired of plantains, but people also really enjoyed the whole catfish and the sea bass. It was casual and rustic, but good!
To start off, the location and views this restaurant offers are amazing. Service was decent for the size of our party of 10 persons. However, some of the dishes are extremely small portions. The Octopus pulpo was about 2 onces of meat. That would barely qualify for a ceviche portion in most decent restaurants. My wife and brother in law had the the Red Snapper pargo rojo. These fish should have been thrown back into the sea, because they were still baby fish, about 6 inches long and were burnt to the crisp. There was really little to eat on these fish. Five persons in the family had the large shrimp longostinos and these were cooked correctly and 4 came on the plate which was a fair price for the portion. So, just order the longostinos and enjoy the view! That would be my recommendation.
This place is outside Portobelo near Scuba Portobello I had the garlic shrimp $13 for lunch and it was really good. I think there is one menu for lunch and dinner. It is on the water with a pleasant view and tour guides stop here so it must be good! .
Nice setting almost above water. Recommended place to enjoy caribean seafood when in Portobello or going to Isla Grande
