The price has increased from 990 to 1490, which is understandable given the economic state, but the quality of the food was terrible. The basmati rice they claimed to use seemed more like ponni rice, and the overpowering taste of MSG was off-putting. It was difficult to taste the flavors of the dish because of the excessive MSG. The onion sambol and gravy were also not edible, and the unnecessary coloring added to the sambol looked unappetizing. Even though they offered a complimentary biryani to make up for it, I hope they maintain their food quality moving forward. As someone who enjoys exploring food across Sri Lanka, I could clearly distinguish the flavors in the dish, and it did not meet my expectations. I may give them another chance, as there are not many places in Colombo that serve good biryani.
What an amazing taste? They are indeed the experts in the Biriyani business I would say. We recently went in and ordered. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is beyond imaginable taste. We had a tummyful and I would definitely visit them again.
This is the worst biriyani I have ever had. Charging ₹990 and serving naadu rice instead of proper biriyani is dishonest. Shame on this restaurant, and I will be sharing my experience on social media. Customers deserve to be treated with respect when they pay for their meals. It is unacceptable to deceive people like this. I will be informing everyone to avoid eating at this restaurant.
Best Biriyani I ever eaten in Colombo. Very delicious. Poison size was enough. Prices are average. Very clean and beautiful place. Staff was very helpful. Only problem is they don’t have enough parking space.
Today, on 30 March 2023, we ordered 4 Biryanis from TBR through Uber Eats. Unfortunately, the food was not up to par. The rice was overcooked and clumped together, losing its shape. The taste was lacking, with no authentic Biryani flavor. It appeared that they may have used coloring instead of spices or Biryani mix, and the dish was also lacking in salt, resulting in a watery taste. Additionally, the chicken pieces were bland and under-seasoned, appearing to be simply roasted or cooked without much flavor. On the positive side, the portion size was generous and the chicken pieces were a good size.
