The staff at Rajagiriya Thalappakatti provided exceptional service! It was truly impressive. We were there for dinner, and it happened to be my sister's birthday. Despite not informing the staff about the occasion, they surprised us by playing the happy birthday song when we brought out the cake. Their attentiveness was remarkable. Additionally, when my elderly grandmother needed to wash her hands but had difficulty walking, a staff member named Suvimal quickly offered her a bowl to use. The staff members were incredibly attentive and helpful, even without being specifically asked. Unlike at other restaurants where staff sometimes avoid making eye contact with customers, the staff at Thalappakari were attentive and provided outstanding customer service.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The Indian cuisine in Sri Lanka was exceptional and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service team was very professional and did a great job of explaining the menu to us. Thank you for a lovely meal.

This restaurant is definitely a must-visit for Biriyani lovers. It is highly popular, as evidenced by the bustling crowds and the inevitable wait for a table. However, the dining experience that follows is well worth it. Authentic and delicious Biriyani awaits, making this place a top choice for those craving this culinary delight.

I was visiting Mount Lavinia and my friends took me out to lunch at the Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant on hotel road in Mount Lavinia. This was South Indian cuisine. I had a thali of different vegetables, meat accompaniments with chutney, yoghurt and a roti. The food was OK. The place was fairly busy. There is seating downstairs and upstairs. This restaurant chain seem to be opening branches around Colombo. I was wondering about the statue of a woman dressed in a saree right at the front entrance to the restaurant. Did it have any religious significance I wondered. They should have some information near the statue for visitors to see.

Absurd food quality, spent 2000 odd for a mutton dish, and the meat is super hard and chewy seems like old meat! When complained, they said that the gravy is only good not the mutton pieces! Be careful and don’t get scammed! Mount Lavinia branch
