Philz Coffee - Colma

There is an employee who takes orders occasionally. I've noticed a few times that when she sees me walking towards the order counter, she steps aside and tries to avoid me for as long as she can. After a few minutes, she eventually comes back to take my order.

With renewed hope, I decided to try the Iced Coffee Rosé, another drink that had been highly praised on TikTok. While my mom enjoyed it, I found that it wasn’t quite to my liking either, which left me feeling ready to move on. However, I was unaware that downloading their app would turn things around for me. After spending another day with my mom, we found ourselves at Philz once more. The place was packed, so we opted to order ahead through the app. I was feeling skeptical, but as I browsed the menu, one item caught my attention—something not listed on the in-store menu. I decided to give it a shot. After a short wait, we went inside to collect our order. As I stepped outside and took my first sip, I braced myself for another letdown. But, to my surprise, my taste buds erupted with delight! I had to take a closer look at my cup to verify what I had just tasted. So, what was this delightful drink? It’s the Iced Honey Haze—a robust coffee blended with creamy oat milk and finished with a drizzle of honey. Pure perfection! Since that day, it’s been my go-to order, and I haven’t strayed to anything else. Each visit leaves me satisfied and happy with a fantastic cup of coffee. (Note: I had to create a review for an English assignment, which is why it’s quite lengthy. But I truly do love Philz Coffee!)

My favorite Mocha Tesora!It's impressive how they dissolve cocoa in iced coffee, which has very low sugar.Very refreshing and tasty.Nice cozy place.The only downside is that the outdoor seating is not clean enough!

Hey there! Just wanted to share my Philz Coffee experience in Colma today. Tried the Philz Mocha Tesora earthy, rich, with fine cocoa. Such a delicious treat! It gave me a perfect in the moment feeling. Highly recommend it! Go, go, go!

Philz Coffee has been quite inconsistent for me. I ordered the Winter Bliss on two separate occasions for my girlfriend and myself, and both times there were different issues. During the first visit, the coffee was lukewarm, even though I ordered it inside. The second time, it lacked the spices and foam that were advertised, and there was an overwhelming amount of chocolate in it. The chocolate flavor completely overshadowed everything else, to the point that when I got home, I had to make more coffee just to balance out the taste, but it still didn’t help. I find this place too overpriced; I’ve had better pour-overs from smaller coffee shops at the same price, or I could just grab coffee from McDonald's down the street for a lot less.
