Yamato's - Collinsville

Good food, good service, insanely expensive... We have family in Martinsville, VA and always stop by Yamato... The food has always been good, the service respectable, and prices fair/reasonable. This time around, the food and service were again good, but the prices were outrageously expensive $220 for 7 people. I get it... JB has has run the U.S. economy into the ground like a 737 800, but businesses (namely restaurants) are price gouging the hell out of customers like it's going out of style. This is Martinsville not St. Louis; there's no way to justify a $220 bill at any restaurant in town Pretty irritating when I see businesses take advantage of customers, hence the 3 stars.

Only 1 star because I couldn't give 0. service left much to be desired. we had to request regular items like, straws, chopsticks, plates for appetizer. I found what appears to be some kind of paper product in my food. When this was brought to the attention of waitstaff, management responded by offering 10% off of entree and stating that they would not make it over since the plate was more than half gone before foreign object was discovered. Maybe it's better at the grill tables. Additionally, we waited an inordinate amount of time for the check. Thankful to Aden for getting our check as our waitress was inattentive. 0 Stars DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Second time me and my boyfriend have tried to eat here. Horrible experience. Host decided to sit another party of 10 people before sitting us when we arrived first and with no wait made us wait 15 minutes for silverware before being sat. Really don 't appreciate the customer service. Staff was rude. Will never try this location again. Dirty, rude, and disrespectful.

The food was pretty good- typical hibachi. My husband and I were disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. It was dirty, especially in the back and in the bathrooms. We don't plan on returning.

The staff is always on their game!! Always checking up on tables, making sure everything is good, and overall just doing their job. I have never been disappointed in their food or service. it has always been warm and delicious. the place is well put together. they keep their tables and floors clean.
