El Ranchito - Collinsville

Visited here today in the afternoon. It is not my first visit, but my first in a long time. Food was excellent. I got the arroz con steak and added pineapple. It was during lunch so I was able to get it for less than $10. The place is quaint and charming, clean, and the staff are wonderful!One of the best Mexican eateries in this area.

Waitress never returned to check on us not one time. No refills, food was brought out at random times. Meal was cold and wrong but no waitress to request help from. Terrible service.

Absolutely terrible customer service and food. We ordered 2 chili con quesos 5.99 each when I get home we only have 1 regular queso. The owner tells me they dont put chili in the chili con queso and refuses to return my money for the food he did not give me even though he admitted he never gave me the food unless I drove back to get cash. I had to explain that they missed my chili con queso 4 times and he didnt even believe I was rung up for 2 untill another employee told him that he rang me up for 2, his response then was well I didnt ring you up . He was so rude over the 10 minute phone call, including telling me I am hard and rude because I wanted to eat my dinner and didnt want to drive back to and by the time I hung up on him my food was cold. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS RESTAURANT. Also the only difference between queso and chili con queso to this boss is apperently throwing a hard tortilla at the bottom of the queso, they saod there is no chili in the CHILI CON QUESO. False advertising on top of refusing to return my tender. 2 dollar upcharge for them to throw a tortilla at the bottom of queso and call it something else.

The Texana I ordered came unassembled and without any cheese. Although, sizzling and very enticing when it was brought to my table, it’s the first to ever come like that. I prefer it assembled with a lot of melted cheese in the middle. ??‍

Food is mediocre and so is the customer service. Chile Relleno Authentico should not have meat. Should only have cheese....and not Amercian cheese like you use in all of your other dishes. I've come here twice and the first time was okay with a large group and drinks last visit however I decided I won't be back when you stuffed my enchiladas with an American cheese blend and an argumentative server. Disappointed doesn't sum it up enough.
